BuzzFeed launches its own 'public chat' channel in messaging app Viber

BuzzFeed is to launch a messaging app allowing public chat, teaming up with Viber which is owned by Japanese Internet Giant Rakuten. Celebrities that have endorsed the apps include Pixie Lott, Paul vanDyk, Tylere Oakley and Perez Hilton. In 2014 BuzzFeed linked with Chinese messaging app WeChat and another high profile as a partner of BuzzFeed.

 Rakuten, and which has more than 209 million monthly active users.
