Traditional media more reliable – Federal Sec

The article talks about the current affirs in Borneo and includes the quotes from Abu Bakar Hassan about the traditional medias take on the issues vs the new medias take on it. Abu Bakar Hassan stated that to receive reliable information Traditional media is still relevant as "the challenge lies in the speed of the technology based social media" he also said that in current affairs only the news paper had correctly reported the event. He added, "proper media should remain sensitive to sensitive issues related to ethnicity, culture and such. These reports must not affect the harmony of the state"

- the government is also working on overcoming the constraints such as financial standing of a department that deters this from happening. This includes the past and current study of 400 schemes

I do agree with Hassan to an extent about traditional journalism being a more reliable source than online media however can be trust worth as not all stes have citizen journalist or wannabes, traditional media is a dying medium with decreasing umbers in news paper purchases and a decline in its media audience and new and digital media is taking over by a storm.
