Iran blocks Instagram account of ‘rich kids’ showing off wealth in Tehran

A Instagram profile named "richkidsoftehran" has been banned in Iran due to 'vulgar' content. The content of the profile is in the name it portrays the lives of rick kids in tehran with images of Ferraris, Lamborghinis and most importantly parties which is the main reason as to why the account has been banned as it contains alcohol which is illegal to consume in Iran and women in western clothing, women are obligated to wear headscarves and in the images they're not.

- Photo-sharing service, attracted almost 100,000 followers

- A rival site, poorkidsoftehran, pokes fun at their rich counterparts

- richkidsoftehran also has had a page on Facebook

I think that despite the fact that alcohol is consumed in a islamic country the account shouldn't be banned from the public in Iran as it could inspire and spark some enthusiasm in the lives of the less fortunate and could help a lot of people if they look at the profile in that way. Women are obligated to wear headscarves, fair enough, but if the images are taken in a private location such as the homes of the account owner then there shouldn't be a problem.
